04 · Licences & Terms
How the art can be used
Every commission includes personal use. Choose a tab to see the commercial licences or the full terms of service.
Personal useIncluded
For non-commercial use: personal social profiles, profile pictures, banners, wallpapers and private collections or display. I retain copyright and may use the piece in my portfolio and promotional material.
Not permitted: branding, monetised content, commercial printing, modification, AI training.
Standard licence+60%
Allows book interiors, promotional materials and online use on social media, websites and blogs. I retain copyright and portfolio rights.
Not permitted: reselling as prints or merchandise, modification, AI training, claiming ownership.
Extended licence+100%
Includes everything in the Standard licence, plus digital and printed book covers, publishing use and monetised distribution. I retain ownership and may display the piece in my portfolio.
Not permitted: modification, AI training.
Full rights transferfrom +180%
Full commercial rights and ownership may transfer to you within the scope defined in a written agreement. Quoted individually. Merchandise, resale and print-on-demand are excluded unless the written agreement says otherwise. I retain portfolio and self-promotion rights unless stated otherwise.
Process & turnaround
- Tell me about them: share references, personality and story.
- Receive your quote: price, scope and completion date confirmed.
- Watch them take shape: updates during sketch, colour and rendering.
- Meet your character: high-resolution delivery after approval.
The estimated turnaround is 1–2 weeks, depending on communication speed, complexity and overall project scope.
My typical reply window is 1–3 days; if you do not hear back, feel free to bump your message once.
Payment
- PayPal or Revolut accepted.
- Under $100: full payment upfront.
- Over $100: 50% non-refundable deposit upfront; the balance is due before delivery.
- Eye banners: full payment upfront.
Revisions
- 3 sketch revisions
- 2 base-colour revisions
- 1 rendering revision
Major changes after rendering may require additional fees.
Usage rights
Every commission includes personal use. Commercial use needs a licence, Standard (+60%), Extended (+100%) or Full rights transfer (from +180%). The full wording of each is in the licences section above.
Merchandise and mass production are excluded unless agreed in writing.
Refunds & cancellations
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- If I am unable to complete your commission, you will receive a full refund.
- If you cancel, any completed work is delivered as-is.
Restrictions
You may not claim the artwork as your own creation, heavily alter or resell it, or use it commercially without the proper licence. The artwork may never be used to train AI.
